When I bought my first home years ago, my realtor was more than friendly during the sales process, but from the moment escrow closed, I never heard from the agent again! Later, when I embarked on my own real estate career, I vowed that my clients would have a different experience.

In the more than 28 years I've been in this business, my overriding goal has always been more about forming relationships than in making a sale. Certainly, I want to create a stress-free home buying or selling experience, and help my clients make a wise and profitable decision, but my intrinsic goal is to build solid relationships. As a result, many of my clients have become personal friends.

More than 90 percent of my business comes from referrals through ongoing relationships with previous clients—including many who represent two generations of families.

My credentials and "back up" team

Besides holding a California Brokers License, I am among the less than 3 percent of realtors who've earned a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation. I believe in continuing education and regularly attend real estate law updates and seminars on topics affecting the industry.

Over the years, I've carefully selected my own network, a "team" actually, of top-notch professionals in the home buying and selling process, including mortgage brokers, escrow officers, title insurance and home warranty specialists. These are the people I count on to provide the best services possible for my clients.

From soccer agent to real estate agent

As a "Brit" born in Fulham, London, I first came to the U.S. as Elton John's guest during his 1975 tour. Elton invited me to join him because he was interested in getting involved with the Los Angeles Aztecs team, and I was a football (aka soccer) "player agent" at the time. I represented some of the English League's premier players including George Best, Rodney Marsh, Peter Osgood and Alan Ball among many others. Since the tour included Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, I discovered Southern California's lovely beaches—and unequivocally fell in love with America! Returning in 1978, I settled into the oceanfront enclave known as the "South Bay" to raise my family—and I've been here ever since.

My knowledge is "your" power

There is never any pressure in my sales approach. By remaining current on a day-to-day basis about what's on the market in the South Bay's collection of beach communities, and because I'm familiar on a first-hand basis with the nuances of various neighborhood "pockets," my clients not only find the perfect residence, but they feel "at home" when they move in. And that's what it's all about.
